A real delight, this artisanal coffee. Nicaragua is a 100% Arabica coffee characterized by a sweet aroma and has delicate floral, honey and almond notes. The coffee is a blend of 90% Caturra and 10% Maragogype and Macaturra beans. A cup of coffee to start the day.
Nicaraguan Artisan Coffee
Nicaragua ranks 28th among the world's coffee producers. Grown in the north of the country, in the Esteli, Madriz, and Nueva regions, this coffee has the SHG (Strictly High Grown) designation, indicating strict cultivation at high altitudes. The beans mature slowly under these conditions, becoming denser and acquiring intrinsic qualities that make it a highly valued coffee. It has a sweet aroma with delicate floral, honey, and almond notes. Grown between 1,200 and 1,400 meters above sea level on volcanic soil, this coffee is shaded by fruit trees such as guava, plantain, banana, and citrus. Harvesting is done manually in two or three passes, followed by traditional washing and fermentation, sun-drying, and completely manual sorting. This coffee offers a sweet aroma with floral notes, a full body, and marked acidity. It is certified organic and Fairtrade. Its caffeine content is 1.27%.
